The results of the investigation conducted by the police show that a domestic argument that started off-campus spread to the parking lot of the school.

There was a disagreement between two vehicles that appeared to have crashed with each other. As a result of the collision, one individual emerged from his vehicle, moved closer to the passenger side of the other vehicle, and fired a single shot through the windshield into the vehicle.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the gunfire, and the deputy who was assigned to Riverview as a resource officer heard the noise. He approached the suspect and, after a brief struggle, was able to successfully capture him.

After further investigation, the suspect was found to be Alexander Sinclair, a law enforcement officer.

Alexander Sinclair has been identified as the person who is suspected of being involved in this event, according to a statement released by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Lake County Jail, Mr. Sinclair has been arrested and placed into custody on charges connected to this incident. His arraignment is still pending. Investigations are still being conducted into this incident.

Slight injuries were sustained by Sinclair, the victims who were travelling in the other vehicle, and the school resource officer during the incident.

Riverside Local Schools in Painesville Township issued a statement in which they addressed the situation, but they emphasized that during the incident, no one, not even students or staff, was in any danger.

We intend to verify that no kind of threat was ever made against either the faculty or the kids. The statement started by saying that all of the safety standards were adopted and followed.

Law enforcement agencies from the surrounding area stayed present throughout the morning to assist with conducting safety inspections in classrooms and buildings, regulating traffic, and assisting students with checking out.

Additionally, grief counsellors from Signature Health were brought to the school and made themselves available to any staff members or students who desired to have a conversation with someone.

Deputy Ward, the Lake County Deputy who was assigned to serve as the school’s resource officer, was shown gratitude by the institution.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office, our School Safety Officer Deputy Ward, all of the surrounding area police and fire agencies, and Signature Health deserve our utmost gratitude for their swift and rapid reaction to this problem. We would want to extend our greatest gratitude to all of them.
